Festive Dark Chocolate Bark

In the spirit of the festive season here is a treat that looks good, tastes great and makes an awesome homemade Christmas gift. Put it in a festive container, wrap with cellophane and make someone happy!

Ingredients:

  • 3 dark chocolate bars @ 100 g. each (85% chocolate)
  • 1/4 cup roasted almonds*
  • 1/4 cup pistachios
  • 1/4 cup goji berries
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/8 tsp himalayan salt
  • Some extra roasted almonds, pistachios and goji berries for sprinkling on top

Preparation:

  • Chop the chocolate bar into small pieces and place in a bowl or small pan
  • Place the bowl/pan into a larger pan with hot water so that the chocolate melts
  • When fully melted stir in the cinnamon powder, salt and honey
  • Add the nuts and berries and stir to coat
  • Pour this mixture onto a parchment lined baking sheet
  • Sprinkle the extra almonds, pistachios and goji berries on top
  • Place in the fridge for 2 hours or until set
  • Break the chocolate bark into uneven pieces and store in an airtight container
