Plain Almond Milk
This dairy-free milk is a great basis for shakes & smoothies and to pour over home made granola and porridge.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup raw almonds, soaked overnight
- 2 ½ cups water
Preparation:
- Rinse the soaked almonds
- Place in a blender with the water and process until smooth
- Place a nutmilk bag, a few muslin cloths or a clean kitchen towel over a glass jar and pour the milk through it, in batches, making sure you squeeze out the all the milk by tightening the towel
- You can keep the milk for about 3-4 days in the refrigerator
