In the spirit of the festive season here is a treat that looks good, tastes great and makes an awesome homemade Christmas gift. Put it in a festive container, wrap with cellophane and make someone happy!
Ingredients:
- 3 dark chocolate bars @ 100 g. each (85% chocolate)
- 1/4 cup roasted almonds*
- 1/4 cup pistachios
- 1/4 cup goji berries
- 1 tsp honey
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1/8 tsp himalayan salt
- Some extra roasted almonds, pistachios and goji berries for sprinkling on top
Preparation:
- Chop the chocolate bar into small pieces and place in a bowl or small pan
- Place the bowl/pan into a larger pan with hot water so that the chocolate melts
- When fully melted stir in the cinnamon powder, salt and honey
- Add the nuts and berries and stir to coat
- Pour this mixture onto a parchment lined baking sheet
- Sprinkle the extra almonds, pistachios and goji berries on top
- Place in the fridge for 2 hours or until set
- Break the chocolate bark into uneven pieces and store in an airtight container
