Which gut microbiome test do you use?

There are a few different tests I use, depending on the location. These microbiome tests have been selected based on different criteria, such as sequencing method, quality and detail of reporting, access to genera and species data, reference database, etc.

What is the additional cost of the microbiome test?

The cost of microbiome test varies depending on the location and other factors such as the sequencing method use. Metagenomic sequencing is more expensive than 16S for example. Testing in India is cheaper compared to the U.S., Australia or Europe. In the U.S., Europe or Australia you can expect to pay between 200 to 300 USD for a metagenomic sequencing test. In India the cost is around 8,000 to 10,000 INR. In the Middle East the price is around 1100 AED.
