A cooling and refreshing minty summer drink with the subtle sweetness of vanilla and the healthy antioxidants of white tea.
Ingredients:
- 1 liter water
- 1 cup loosely packed fresh mint leaves
- 1 vanilla bean pod, split
- 2 heaped tbsp white tea leaves
Preparation:
- Bring the water to a boil with the vanilla bean pod and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the mint leaves and continue to simmer for 3 -4 minutes
- Turn off the heat and let the water cool down for 2 minutes before adding the tea leaves
- Allow to steep for 10 minutes and then strain and pour into a glass jar
- Allow to cool down before placing in the refrigerator
- To serve, pour into a tall glass over ice cubes and serve with a lemon wedge
